California Food Aid, a nonprofit public charity that raises funds to provide education on proper nutrition and feeds children in an effort to prevent illnesses related to inadequate nourishment.

In the 21st century, we have  achieved tremendous accomplishments in innovative medicine, advancement in technology & and machinery, expansive space exploration, and much, much more. As the world’s primary superpower and economic nation, the United States is leading the way. However, as simple as it may sound, we still don’t have proper food security and nutrition for everyone in the United States. In 2012, almost 50 million Americans were food insecure, which includes more than 17 million households, including more than 5 million Californians. Indeed, a significant number of real people are struggling to get enough to eat.

Food shortage and undernourishment are the leading causes of many medical problems resulting in different current and developing illnesses.
